Rachel Malek is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work spans various mediums, combining creativity and expression. Based in the Columbus area, she is earning a Bachelor of Arts in Art and Psychology at Otterbein University. With a primary focus on ceramics and graphic design, Rachel also enjoys drawing and experimenting with new techniques. She views art and psychology as deeply interconnected, using both disciplines to explore the human experience, delve into the subconscious, and question the nature of reality. Passionate about the transformative power of art, she constantly seeks innovative ways to express herself and foster meaningful connections through her work.

Rachel is dedicated to sharing her art with others and hopes to make a positive impact through her creative journey. As the treasurer and acting co-president of Otterbein’s Thriving Artists Club, she is committed to building a dynamic artistic community. Outside of school, she teaches ceramics to children aged 5 to 16 at the Delaware Arts Castle, inspiring young minds to embrace their creativity.

​Her work has been exhibited in group shows, including the Ohio State Fair and various Otterbein events, earning her grants and talent awards. Having applied to a master’s program in art therapy, Rachel is excited to expand her impact in the field, combining her artistic vision with her dedication to personal and collective growth.
